Planning Storyboard for my OxiClean commercial

 First Scene: The opening scene will be of a poster or white paper with drawn logo on it. There we also be the phrase, "It's OxiClean Amazing!" I will attempt to create a bubbling sound effect for this scene. This scene will also fade in for a smooth transition.  Second Scene: Person introduces themselves with traditional blue button down in either kitchen or laundry room. OxiClean product will be clearly seen on the counter of laundry machine. The lighting will be bright and white to show a crisp, clear shot. The shot will be wide enough to see the space around, behind, and in front of the person. Third Scene:  Scene will cut to a bucket or bowl filled with water a either a cloth or T-Shirt. This shot will be up close and an overhead shot of the bucket. The person will add the OxiClean product to the bucket of water and cloth. Planning For My OxiClean Commercial

 Props: The product I will be covering is a stain remover for clothes, this being the main prop. Other props will include a washing machine, stained clothes, wine glass, another product to compare it to, and a rag. Costumes: Since the commercial will be done in an advertising style to convince people to buy it, I will be wearing a blue button down shirt, like the one traditionally used, tucked into beige pants to show that I am reliable and can be trusted. Schedule: 10/23/2020: I will research the conventions found in the commercial of my product. 10/23/2020: I will produce the planning for the commercial such as the props, costumes, schedule, set, location, and backup plan. 10/24-25/2020: I will create the storyboard needed for my commercial. 10/26-28/2020: My sister will film and record me for clips of the commercial. 10/29-30/2020: I will edit the clips together to produce the commercial, making it seem as realistic as possible.  11/3/2020: I will finish any remaining editi...

Research Blog: Commercial Conventions

     I will be producing a commercial about OxiClean products and their beneficial properties that help people on a daily basis. Past OxiClean commercials were done by Billy Mays, but are now done by Anthony Sullivan. Both actors are trademarks for OxiClean, allowing people to recognize the product first then the person. Both men typically wore the same outfit of a blue, OxiClean button down tucked into a pair of beige trousers. By putting them in a casual, yet business attire outfit, it lets the people know that they should be trusted, but also relatable to the common people. Both actors hold a similar voice when presenting the product. They talk in a loud, yet firm tone, keeping the audience engaged and interested. Throughout the commercial, everything seems to be fast paced and engaging making the viewers not turn away from the television. These commercials always show one specific product OxiClean is trying to sell to the common people, a...
