Planning For My OxiClean Commercial
Props:
The product I will be covering is a stain remover for clothes, this being the main prop. Other props will include a washing machine, stained clothes, wine glass, another product to compare it to, and a rag.
Costumes:
Since the commercial will be done in an advertising style to convince people to buy it, I will be wearing a blue button down shirt, like the one traditionally used, tucked into beige pants to show that I am reliable and can be trusted.
Schedule:
10/23/2020: I will research the conventions found in the commercial of my product.
10/23/2020: I will produce the planning for the commercial such as the props, costumes, schedule, set, location, and backup plan.
10/24-25/2020: I will create the storyboard needed for my commercial.
10/26-28/2020: My sister will film and record me for clips of the commercial.
10/29-30/2020: I will edit the clips together to produce the commercial, making it seem as realistic as possible.
11/3/2020: I will finish any remaining editing and reflection questions.
Set:
The set will be in front of a white wall and laundry room to show the stain remover being added to clothes in a washing machine.
Location:
The main location will be laundry room because of the white lighting and washing machine. This is also where we keep our stain remover which will be easily accessible. When filming the talking and advertising portion of the commercial, I will film in front of a white wall to keep the focus on the product and not be distracting.
Backup Plan:
If my sister is not able to record for me, I will either another family member do it or stand my phone up on a tripod. Also, if I cannot obtain a blue button down, then I will wear a white button down. Also, if the light coming from outside is not bright enough, I will bring my own light or lamp and place it where I need it.
