Planning for My Music Video
Song Title:
The song I will be doing is Wonderful Life by Zendaya from the movie Smallfoot. The character singing the song is a yeti who is on top of a mountain curious about the humans beneath it on the ground. The main message of the song is that asking questions and being curious about the world around you is what makes a wonderful life.
Props:
There will be multiple props in my music video because there will be multiple locations. Such as a duffle bag, a cereal bowl, a bike and many more.
Costumes:
There will either be two or three outfit changes in the video depending on where the actor will be going. At first the character will be wearing a strict, business type attire. They will then switch into an all black outfit with a black beanie and duffle bag or a flowy dress that shows expression.
Schedule:
11/17/2020: I will I will research the conventions found in the genre of my music video.
11/17/2020: I will produce the planning for the music video such as the props, costumes, schedule, set, location, and backup plan.
11/20/2020: I will produce the 12 boxes for the storyboard needed for my music video.
11/28-12/4/2020: I will film the shots needed for the music video and record any disruptions or difficulties we faced.
11/5-6/2020: I will edit and place all the clips in the proper order with the music I chose overlapping it and making any final touches and decisions.
Location:
There will be two to three locations for the music video. Inside of a house for 1/2 of the video and outside for the other half. The inside location will be in the actors room and kitchen table. The scenes will be up close and intimate to show to actors point of view and struggles. For the outside portion, the location will move from a neighborhood street to a park. These locations will be crucial to show wonder and curiosity by having open space and fields. The actor will be dancing and frolicking around to show true happiness.
Backup Plan:
If the actor can not show up, then I will have to get a different person to act. If the weather is not as we predicted, then I will either shoot under covered walkway or change filming to another day. If the suns light is not on my side, I will bring my own orange or yellow light to accommodate for it.
